Many builders and contractors send clients directly to our showroom for selections and coordination. We do ask that appointments be scheduled in advance whenever possible.

We’ll provide realistic expectations upfront and communicate throughout the process.

Yes — custom tile showers are one of our specialties.
Yes. All projects require a deposit before materials are ordered and scheduling is finalized.
For material-only purchases, payment in full is required at the time of ordering.
Please note: if Atlantic Flooring & Tile is not performing the installation, the customer or contractor is responsible for verifying measurements, quantities, and material accuracy prior to ordering.
Labor balances are typically due upon completion of the project unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Scheduling varies seasonally. During peak construction months, lead times may increase, so we recommend reaching out as early as possible.
Financing options may be available for qualifying projects. Please contact our team for current financing availability and details.

We believe great projects come from great communication, quality craftsmanship, and treating customers the right way.
Our goal is to create spaces that are beautiful, functional, and built to last — while making the process enjoyable from start to finish.
1. Initial Inquiry — Email, Call, Walk-In, or Website Inquiry
Reach out however is easiest for you. Visit our showroom, give us a call, message us online, or submit an inquiry through our website. We’ll learn more about your project, timeline, goals, and design preferences.
2. In-Home or On-Site Measurements
Once we understand the scope of the project, we’ll schedule a site visit to take measurements, evaluate conditions, and gather the information needed to provide an accurate estimate.
To ensure accuracy, we do not provide quotes or ballpark pricing solely from customer-provided measurements.
3. Product Selection & Design Guidance
Our team can help guide you through flooring, tile, backsplash, grout, shower, and trim selections. We aim to simplify the process while helping you find products that fit both your vision and budget.
We also assist with coordinating finishes and selections throughout the home to create a cohesive final result.
4. Detailed Estimate, Approval & Scheduling
After measurements and selections are completed, we’ll provide a detailed estimate outlining materials, labor, scope of work, and project expectations.
Once approved, we’ll coordinate scheduling, product ordering, and timeline expectations to keep your project moving smoothly.
5. Material Ordering & Project Preparation
We coordinate product ordering, delivery logistics, and project preparation to help ensure installation runs efficiently and on schedule.
6. Professional Installation
Our experienced installation teams complete projects with a strong focus on craftsmanship, communication, cleanliness, and professionalism throughout the process.
7. Final Walkthrough & Care Guidance
Once your project is complete, we’ll review everything with you and provide guidance on maintenance, cleaning, and long-term care for your new floors or tile.
(See installation guidelines below.)
Most flooring and tile projects involve some level of dust and noise. Our crews work hard to keep jobsites clean, organized, and respectful of your home or business throughout the project.
If needed, we can also help coordinate post-installation cleaning services for an additional fee.
Furniture & Personal Items
Prior to installation, please remove all personal and breakable items from tabletops, dressers, desks, bookcases, and shelving areas. If possible, please disconnect televisions and other electronic equipment prior to installation.
Depending on the scope of work, furniture moving services may be available. Please discuss this with our team prior to scheduling.
Owner Closets
If we will be installing in or near owner closets, we ask that these spaces are unlocked or that keys are provided prior to installation. Many property management companies do not have access to owner closets without prior approval.
Baseboards & Moldings
While our installers work carefully and professionally, minor scuffs or nicks to baseboards and moldings may occasionally occur during installation. Any necessary touch-ups are the responsibility of the property owner unless otherwise noted.
Toilets & Pedestal Sinks
As a convenience to our customers, our installers may remove and reinstall toilets using new wax rings. However, because our installers are not licensed plumbers, we cannot guarantee plumbing-related reconnections or repairs.
Upon project completion, toilets or pedestal sinks may require additional parts or adjustments due to height variations created by the new flooring. If needed, the owner will be responsible for coordinating plumbing services.
Flooring Seams
Our goal is always to make seams as minimal and unnoticeable as possible. However, seam visibility varies depending on material type, lighting, layout, and manufacturer specifications, and completely invisible seams cannot be guaranteed.
Cleaning & Project Completion
If included within your contract, our installers will return furniture to its original location, dispose of removed flooring materials, and clean up installation-related debris.
Please note that renovation and demolition work naturally create dust. While our teams clean thoroughly, the space may require additional cleaning before being renter- or guest-ready.
We are happy to help coordinate cleaning services if needed.
Occasionally, we uncover issues such as damaged subfloors or surfaces that do not meet manufacturer installation requirements that were not visible during the initial measuring process.
If unforeseen conditions arise, all repairs or changes will be discussed and approved by the owner before additional work proceeds.
Cancelled orders may be subject to restocking fees and/or freight charges.
Please note that many special-order and non-stocking products are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Our installation workmanship is warrantied for one year unless otherwise stated.
Product warranties are provided directly through the manufacturer and vary by product.
Yes. We offer trade-oriented pricing structures designed specifically for contractors, builders, and recurring professional partners.
Whether you're managing a single project, multiple homes per year, or larger commercial projects, our goal is to provide competitive pricing, responsive communication, and dependable support to help you meet your goals.
We understand construction timelines move quickly, and our goal is to be a reliable partner throughout the process.
Absolutely.
While it’s most common for us to both supply and install — as we believe we have some of the best flooring and tile installers on the Outer Banks — many of our contractor partners also purchase materials directly from us and use their own installation teams.
We’re happy to support:
Material-only orders
Contractor pickup
Special-order materials
Product selections
Estimating and takeoff assistance
For material-only projects, we can also assist with takeoffs and estimating services for an additional fee. Please note that all final quantities and measurements must be verified by the contractor prior to ordering.
Whether you need supply only or a full turnkey installation package, we’re flexible and happy to work in whatever way best fits your project.
Yes.
If needed, we can also provide professional installation services through our experienced flooring and tile teams.
Some partners use us strictly for supply, while others use us as both supplier and installer. We’re comfortable working either way depending on the needs of the project.
No — we only install products that we directly supply.
This helps protect both our customers and our company by ensuring we can stand behind the materials being installed. We work directly with trusted manufacturers and distributors and only install products we know, trust, and can properly warranty and support.
Unfortunately, products purchased online or through third parties can occasionally have quality inconsistencies, discontinued product lines, or warranty limitations that can create issues later. By supplying both the product and installation, we’re able to provide a better overall experience and level of accountability.
Ask us.
We work with a wide network of manufacturers and distributors and can often source specialty products, custom materials, or hard-to-find items for projects.
Please note that all custom and special-order products are non-refundable.
Absolutely.
We regularly help coordinate flooring, showers, backsplashes, tile details, and finish selections throughout full custom homes and remodels.
Yes.
We work with commercial, hospitality, retail, and multi-unit projects in addition to residential construction.
While this is not our primary area of focus, we’re always happy to discuss projects that fit our capabilities and schedule.
Yes.
We can assist with takeoffs, measurements, budgeting guidance, and product recommendations depending on the scope and needs of the project.
